Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated team as a Mobility Focused Caregiver, where your compassionate care and mobility expertise will make a meaningful difference in the life of an individual with Parkinson's Disease in a private caregiving team. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to maintain independence, safety, and well-being for a senior in an assisted living facility. Your positive, energetic approach and attention to detail will help create a supportive environment that fosters dignity and quality of life. Support is required for safe, smooth, and gentle transfers. You will be assisting with Activities of Daily living (shower, toileting, dressing, medication administration, and cutting food) as directed by the family.
Flexible days and hours:
Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday afternoons-evening start time between 1:30pm and 3:00pm-9:30 pm, some morning shifts may be included PRN 7am-1:30 or 3:30pm, with the possibility of some weekend hours to sub for other caregivers. Duties Assist client with mobility needs using a rollator and/or wheelchair to ensure safe transfers and movement. Support activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene maintenance. Monitor patient condition through observation of vital signs, skin integrity, and behavioral cues; document findings accurately in documentation notebook. Administer medications following prescribed protocols while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and medication administration guidelines. Assist with wound management (PRN), infection prevention and other medical tasks as trained. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping duties such as laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, and ensuring infection control standards are met. Collaborate with internal caregiving teams with clear and effective communication. Support the client during emergencies or incidents by following established protocols for CPR certification or other emergency procedures. Assistance with off-site doctor visits, excursions, and errands as needed Required Skills Proven experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments with a focus on senior care or long-term care. CNA certification preferred. Certification in CPR and first aid; additional certifications such as hospice care or catheter care are advantageous. Strong knowledge of medical terminology, patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with working with individuals who have mobility issues or falls risk-related conditions such as Parkinson's Disease. Proficiency in accurate medical documentation and record keeping. Compassionate, patient caregiver with excellent communication skills capable of working independently and within a part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience working with diverse populations in home & community settings; knowledge of HIPAA compliance is essential. Pay:
$16.50 - $24.00 per hour
