Job Description

Overview We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and energetic Caregivers to join our team in providing exceptional support and personalized care to individuals in various settings, including private homes, assisted living facilities, group homes, and nursing homes. This vital role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with diverse needs, including seniors, individuals with developmental disabilities, and those experiencing memory care challenges such as Alzheimer's or dementia. As a Caregiver, you will be the compassionate presence that promotes independence, safety, and well-being for our clients while fostering a warm and respectful environment. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility assistance using tools like Hoyer lifts or resident's as needed. Monitor patient vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and preparation to promote health and enjoyment. Administer medications following prescribed care plans and medication administration protocols to ensure safety and compliance. Provide companionship and emotional support while engaging clients in social activities or recreational programs to enhance quality of life. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas, laundry, and ensuring infection control standards are met. Document care activities thoroughly in client records, including patient observations, progress notes, and incident reports. Support hospice or palliative care needs by providing comfort measures and respecting patient dignity during sensitive times. Collaborate with healthcare professionals like nurses or social workers to implement individualized care plans effectively. Follow all safety procedures during heavy lifting or physical assistance to prevent injury for both clients and staff. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, home health agencies, or group homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital signs monitoring. Hands-on experience with medication administration, care planning, and documentation aligned with HIPAA regulations. Familiarity with Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care strategies, and working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities. Experience providing direct support for ADLs and working within long-term care environments is advantageous. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training or hospice care are a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts. Strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with residents from diverse backgrounds while maintaining professionalism at all times. Join us if you're passionate about delivering compassionate caregiving that enriches lives! We value your dedication to making a positive impact every day through attentive patient monitoring, personalized support plans, and heartfelt companionship—all within a supportive team environment committed to excellence in senior care and home & community services.
