Personal Care Worker

If you're a caring, experienced, and professional caregiver we'd love to have you join our small trusted team. Current need is four full time caregiver to cover 24/7 care in home for a private client but additional or other caregiving needs (and hours) may develop and change over time. You would be providing support for aging family members who have recently undergone health issues and are recovering and working hard to get stronger and more independent. Your team will consist of 4 caregivers/companions who are assisted by a care manager, as well as family members. Communication and documentation are key.

You will be helping with:

• General care and companionship and availability for emergency needs
• Mobility assistance and transfers
• Household tasks, errands, transportation as needed
• Personal care (grooming, bathing, changing, dressing, bathroom, etc., as needed and requested)
• Meal prep, including specific dietary needs (with assistance from family members and other team members)
• Ongoing coordination and communication with other family members, team members, healthcare providers, as needed Ideally, you will have experience in a healthcare or in-home care environment, and will have specific experience caring for seniors.

A CNA certification or other credentials are preferred, but please let us know if you have other relevant experience. The environment is generally relaxed and friendly, with somewhat flexible hours. This may become slightly more flexible as the family member gets stronger. (When possible, our goal is to try to work with everyone's schedule, allowing for your flexibility as well as full coverage for the client.) You should be able to monitor basic vital signs, and know when and if you need additional or emergency assistance. CPR certificate or other training is a definite bonus. Basic understanding of nutrition and personal hygiene standards is necessary. Must have a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check. You should be pleasant, patient, a good communicator, and above all, reliable. You'll be interacting with an extended family creating an aging-in-place home environment, and we hope you'll become an important part of it.

Pay:
