Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide personalized, high-quality care to individuals in their homes or community settings. This vital role involves supporting clients with daily activities, ensuring their safety, and promoting independence while fostering a warm, respectful environment. The ideal candidate will bring a proactive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a genuine passion for enhancing the well-being of those they serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of clients requiring long-term or short-term care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications following prescribed care plans and ensure proper documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations Support clients with meal preparation, nutritional needs, and hydration to promote overall health Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation and improve quality of life Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to safely transfer clients with mobility challenges Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment Observe and report any changes in the client's condition or behavior to healthcare professionals promptly Requirements Proven experience in home health care, assisted living, nursing home settings, or group homes Knowledge of patient observation techniques and ability to monitor vital signs accurately Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are preferred Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, Alzheimer's disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorder or hospice care is highly valued Ability to lift heavy objects safely and assist with transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Strong communication skills for effective interaction with clients, families, and healthcare teams Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or overnight as needed Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to patient care and safety Join our team to provide essential support that empowers individuals to live comfortably and confidently.
