This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in someone's life by delivering personalized support and ensuring their safety and comfort during overnight hours. The ideal candidate will be energetic, detail-oriented, and fluent in Mandarin, with a passion for providing exceptional care in a respectful and nurturing environment. Your role will involve assisting with daily activities, monitoring health and safety, and creating a warm, supportive atmosphere that promotes well-being. Responsibilities Provide attentive overnight care, ensuring the safety and comfort of the resident throughout the shift Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure compliance and safety Prepare nutritious meals aligned with dietary needs, assisting with feeding as necessary Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through regular cleaning tasks to promote hygiene and safety Support residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other cognitive impairments through compassionate engagement and memory care techniques Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts safely to facilitate mobility and prevent injury Follow all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures to respond effectively in emergencies Collaborate with healthcare professionals to update care plans and ensure personalized support tailored to individual needs Qualifications Fluency in Mandarin is required; proficiency in English is preferred for effective communication with team members and healthcare providers Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable Knowledge of patient observation, medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and dementia or Alzheimer's care Certification in CPR and first aid is preferred; ongoing training is encouraged Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; strong physical stamina required Excellent interpersonal skills with a caring attitude towards residents of all ages and abilities Commitment to maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations Prior experience in long-term care or hospice settings is advantageous Join our team to provide compassionate overnight support that enhances quality of life while building rewarding relationships.
