Direct Care Worker Weekday/Weekend Position (Day/Night Options)

Description Do you have a passion for working with and investing in the lives of youth? Restoration House provides 24-hour care for adolescents between the ages of 13

• 18 who are currently in the Foster Care System.

Our programs provide emotional and behavioral support, daily living skills training, behavioral support and therapeutic activities, as well as recreational activities for the youth in our care. If you are a self-motivated, team player who is flexible, patient and has a desire to help impact the lives of youth in positive ways we would welcome you to join our team! Starting Salary is between $17.00 and $18.00 per hour based on experience and shift differentials. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• At least 6 months experience working with children, adolescents, or adults. One (1) year of experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid Driver's License
• Computer skills for documentation and incident reporting
• All applicants must be able to pass a background check

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

:

• Provide observation, instruction, and support to consumers according to Agency guidelines.
• Follow Regulatory and Agency Policies.
• Prepare meals for youth according to shift.
• Administer medication to youth as prescribed.
• Transport youth in agency vehicle(s) to outings and other scheduled events.
• Complete progress notes, daily logs and other required documentation.
• Communicate with team members and other staff regularly on client progress, issues and concerns as they arise
• Participate in group sessions with youth in the residence.
• Help to ensure the health and safety for each consumer.
• Participate in all training as required by the agency.
• Complete required training
• Other Duties may be assigned.
