Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. This vital role involves fostering independence, ensuring safety, and enhancing quality of life through personalized care. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record patient vital signs, health status, and behavioral changes to inform care plans Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Support medication administration following HIPAA guidelines and care plan instructions Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry Observe patients closely for signs of health deterioration or emergencies, including dementia or Alzheimer's-related behaviors Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement personalized care plans and document progress accurately Support residents in group home or assisted living settings, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and resident rights Skills Proven experience in home & community care, long-term care, or assisted living environments Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts when necessary Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams CPR and First Aid certification are highly desirable; ongoing training preferred Experience working with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities or mental health challenges Ability to follow detailed care plans accurately while demonstrating compassion and patience Join us in delivering compassionate caregiving that truly makes a difference!
