This role focuses on maintaining the home's cleanliness, organization, and overall upkeep while ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies. The Assistant House Manager enforces house guidelines, meets all inspection and safety requirements, and collaborates with support professionals to assist residents in developing life skills through oversight of daily routines, including meal preparation and household maintenance. Employees of The Living Vine are expected to: Provide guidance tailored to each resident's needs, fostering an environment of faith, hope, and personal growth. Hold residents accountable to established policies and procedures that align with The Living Vine's mission to provide protection, provision, and preparation to empower pregnant women in crisis to make positive, life-transforming choices. Serve as loving, caring mentors while maintaining professional relationships that model integrity and respect. Work collaboratively as part of a team to create a consistent, supportive, and nurturing home environment for both residents and staff Position Requirements & Qualifications High school diploma or GED.
Minimum age:
21 years. Experience in a residential setting is preferred. Knowledge or experience working with women and infants preferred. Ability to be a positive role model and work effectively as part of a professional team. Effective teamwork, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills. Culinary skills and home management abilities for maintaining order and cleanliness. Basic computer skills, including the ability to use Google applications, shared calendars, and payroll systems. Valid driver's license and proof of current auto insurance; ability to transport residents as needed. Provide 2 employment references. Cleared TB test (within last 6 months), Physical exam, Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check, and Criminal background check (agency submitted). Mandated Reporter and CPR certification (provided). Commitment to 24 hours of additional annual training as assigned Essential Job Responsibilities Understand and implement TLV Resident Policies & Procedures, TLV Handbook, and emergency procedures. Open and close the house following established safety measures. Maintain state and house standards for cleanliness, temperature control, and food storage. Complete and document House Management checklists and chore sheets daily. Dispense medication to residents (when applicable) and document as required. Model and instruct residents in cleaning standards, "tour-ready" room expectations. Monitor adherence to daily schedules, phone use, and visitation guidelines. Provide transportation for residents and maintain cleanliness of The Vine's vans. Chaperone residents under 18 to all appointments as needed. Teach and model life skills, including cooking, personal hygiene, cleaning, and appropriate social interactions. Address and resolve conflicts between residents, document incidents, and report unresolved issues. Document resident status and shift updates through daily notes and other required reports. Immediately report all injuries or suspected abuse to the HSP / Executive Director. Serve as overnight emergency staff or on-call as needed. Attend staff meetings and training as directed. Perform other duties as assigned Traits & Distinguishing Characteristics Maintains high standards of integrity and confidentiality. Consistently upholds quality standards in all tasks. Physical Demands House management is achieved through consistent presence in the home, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and taking active ownership of the home's appearance and upkeep. Very little time should be spent behind the computer, as the role is primarily hands-on. Requires occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds and reaching above shoulder height or below the waist for supplies and materials. May involve moving supplies and navigating all areas of the residence.
