Resident Aide

In this vital role, you will assist residents with daily activities, ensure their safety, and promote a comfortable, engaging environment. Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support to residents with diverse needs. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as eating, toileting, and transferring, ensuring dignity and independence. Monitor vital signs and observe health changes; report any concerns promptly to nursing staff or supervisors. Engage residents in social activities, recreational programs, and meaningful interactions to enhance their well-being and mental health. Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping duties, including cleaning resident areas and common spaces. Support residents' emotional needs through active listening, companionship, and behavior management techniques tailored to individual preferences.. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred. Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care strategies, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is advantageous. Familiarity with vital signs measurement, medication administration, and long-term care practices is essential. Experience using EMR systems for documentation and resident records management is a plus. Demonstrated caregiving skills in group home environments or personal care homes will strengthen your application. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly using first aid skills; certification in first aid is desirable. Valid driver's license for driving residents or running errands may be required depending on the role's scope.
