Caregiver

Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have experience in various care settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care. This role requires a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for our clients through personalised care and companionship. Duties Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and grooming. Provide patient care and support for individuals with Alzheimer's, dementia, or other cognitive impairments. Medication reminders as prescribed and monitor client health conditions. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences. Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Assist with mobility and heavy lifting when necessary to ensure client safety. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, adhering to health and safety regulations. Document care provided and report any changes in client condition to appropriate personnel. Skills Experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or hospice care is highly desirable. Proficient in patient care techniques, including first aid and behaviour management. Knowledge of medication administration protocols and senior care best practices. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of clients. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on empathy and communication. Valid driving licence is an advantage for transporting clients when necessary. Previous experience in childcare can be beneficial for those working with families or younger clients.
