Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition or behavior Administer medications accurately according to care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, ensuring dietary restrictions are followed Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts and perform patient transfers safely and efficiently Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and any incidents or concerns Support clients with social activities and companionship to promote mental and emotional well-being Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's, memory care, autism spectrum disorder, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities is advantageous Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in patient transfers and mobility support Strong observational skills for monitoring patient condition and recognizing signs of distress or emergencies Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are often necessary for travel between client homes Join us in providing compassionate, respectful care that truly makes a difference!
