Position Summary:
The direct support professional is responsible for the daily support and oversight of clients living in the Intensive Residential Support Home. The DSP provides care for individuals living with disabilities and/or mental health illnesses by providing support and assisting with daily activities in their homes. This will include working on identified goals such as meal cooking and preparation, personal care, promoting community involvement, social skills etc. The DSP will be responsible for administering medications during the shift needed. The home operates 24 hours a day. DSP's will be scheduled over all shifts to ensure coverage.Shift:

- Satruday & Sunday 8p-8a Job Description 1. Responsible for treating all clients with dignity, respect, and value. 2. Responsible for the health, safety, protective supervision, and well-being of clients on your shift when working in the home. 3. Responsible for immediately reporting any allegations of client abuse to the Program Manager. 4. Responsible for completing all required trainings and orientations within the period specified by the Program Manager. 5. Responsible for completing all required documentation on your shift before going home, including, but not limited to, service documentation, data sheets, incident reports, and medication administration records. 6. Responsible for providing support to clients with the implementation of their personal goals and objectives. 7. Responsible for providing supervision and assistance to clients with informal supports they may need help with, including but not limited to cooking, cleaning, laundry, planning meals, shopping, and personal hygiene. 8. Responsible for assisting clients with activities of daily living/personal hygiene that they are unable to do for themselves. 9. If certified to administer medications, you are responsible for the timely, safe administration and documentation of medications in the MAR. 10. Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality and privacy of client information. 11. Responsible for implementing client behavior intervention plans when their problem behavior warrants. 12. Promptly report any unsafe conditions in the home to the Program Manager. 13. Reports changes in the client's condition or family situation to the Program Manager. 14. Accompanies clients to scheduled appointments and transports clients or runs errands with or for clients. 15. Other reasonable duties as requested by the Program Manager. Will need to secure CPI/Mandt Training, Medication Manager training Benefits Competitive wage starting at $21.50/hour Medical, Dental, and Vision plan Vacation Plan Paid Time Off Attendance Incentive Pay Eligible DSP staff may receive an additional $1.50 per hour for all hours worked within a payroll period when the following criteria are met. To qualify for the $1.50 per hour attendance incentive, the DSP must: Work all scheduled shifts during the payroll period Arrive on time for each scheduled shift Not leave any scheduled shift early Have no call-ins during the payroll period Have no unexcused absences If any of the above conditions are not met during the payroll period, the attendance incentive will not apply for that payroll cycle. Qualifications High school education or equivalent Must have a valid driver's license At least one year of experience working with individuals with a mental illness or multiple-occurring conditions Medication manager or certified medication aide preferred (will be required to be trained in medication management) Experience supporting individuals who experience problem behaviors is preferred.
