This vital role ensures the safety, comfort, and well-being of residents during nighttime hours. The Night Caregiver will deliver high-quality care in a respectful and nurturing manner, fostering a safe environment that promotes dignity and independence. This position is ideal for motivated individuals passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others through compassionate caregiving. Duties Monitor residents' health status by observing vital signs, patient behavior, and overall condition throughout the night. Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as toileting, bathing, dressing, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA privacy regulations, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols. Respond promptly to residents' needs during the night, including emergencies or calls for assistance, providing reassurance and support. Conduct thorough patient observations to identify any changes in health or behavior that require intervention or reporting to medical staff. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties, laundry, and ensuring resident rooms are tidy and hazard-free. Collaborate with healthcare teams to update care plans, document incidents, and ensure consistent quality of care aligned with each resident's needs. Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home environments. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Ability to assist with ADLs using proper techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident transfer devices. Strong communication skills for effective interaction with residents, families, and healthcare professionals. Physical stamina for heavy lifting, long shifts, and assisting residents with mobility challenges or disabilities. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
