The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in patient care, home health, and senior or disability support, with a commitment to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve. As a Private Caregiver, you will be responsible for assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment while adhering to care plans and safety protocols. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques like Hoyer lifts when necessary. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe changes in health status to report to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring proper meal planning and safety standards. Administer medications accurately according to prescribed care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality. Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease by implementing memory care strategies and engaging in meaningful activities. Maintain a clean, safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organization. Document care activities meticulously and update care plans regularly in collaboration with healthcare teams or family members. Utilize specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe manual handling and mobility assistance. Must be able to drive Qualifications Proven experience working as a caregiver in settings such as group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or private residences. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice support, and memory care practices. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, or neurodevelopmental disorders. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality standards related to home health and patient data protection. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate assistive devices like Hoyer lifts effectively. Excellent communication skills combined with compassionate caregiving approach tailored to individual needs. Certifications such as CPR/First Aid are highly desirable; prior experience in geriatrics or long-term care is advantageous.
