This role offers an enriching opportunity to provide essential support in home and community settings, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity for those with diverse needs. As a Private Caregiver, you will be a vital part of creating a nurturing environment that promotes independence and well-being through attentive, professional care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using manual handling techniques and equipment such as Hoyer lifts. Monitor patients' vital signs, observe health status, and report changes to healthcare professionals in accordance with HIPAA regulations and care plans. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary restrictions and preferences, ensuring safety and adherence to health guidelines. Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication administration in compliance with HIPAA standards. Support clients with cognitive impairments such as dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care strategies and engagement activities. Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement individualized care plans that address specific needs related to neurodevelopmental disorders, intellectual disabilities, or geriatrics. Qualifications Proven experience working as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication management, and vital signs monitoring. Familiarity with specialized care such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice support, and memory care. Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and the use of assistive devices like Hoyer lifts safely. Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and privacy of patient information. Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in nursing or social work are advantageous. Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders is highly preferred. Join us to provide compassionate caregiving that transforms lives!
