Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor patients' health by taking vital signs, observing for changes, and reporting findings accurately to healthcare professionals Administer medications following care plans and HIPAA regulations to ensure safety and compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding as required Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control protocols Support residents' emotional well-being through companionship, engaging activities, and social interaction Follow detailed care plans created by healthcare teams for residents with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other memory-related conditions Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques and patient monitoring procedures Hands-on experience with medication administration, vital signs measurement, and basic nursing tasks Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders Experience using mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or resident's equipment for safe transfers Knowledge of home health practices, long-term care procedures, and social work principles is advantageous Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications in HIPAA compliance or hospice care are a plus This role is perfect for compassionate individuals eager to provide exceptional senior care while developing their skills in a supportive environment.
