As a Backup Care Sitter, you'll have the unique opportunity to meet a variety of families across the Chicago suburbs while working with children of all ages — from infants to school-age kids. Every day brings something new, making this the perfect role for caregivers who love building connections, adapting to different family environments, and making a meaningful impact. We are currently seeking caregivers with 2-5 open weekdays available, with preferred availability between 7am-6pm Monday through Friday. Current Opportunities Weekday backup care assignments Monday-Friday schedules (7am-6pm availability preferred) Positions for caregivers available 2-5 weekdays per week Opportunities to work with children of all ages across the Chicago suburbs What You'll Do Provide warm, attentive, and developmentally focused care Create engaging activities that support children's growth and learning Help with meals, routines, and daily care Maintain a tidy environment related to children's activities Support families by providing reliable care during schedule changes, school closures, and unexpected childcare needs What Families Are Looking For At least 2 years of professional childcare experience (nannying, daycare, teaching, or early childhood education) Strong communication and organizational skills Comfort using smartphone apps for scheduling and communication Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle Dependable, adaptable caregivers who can confidently step into new environments Why Caregivers Love Working with Jovie Variety in Your Work Build experience with different families and age groups while keeping each day engaging and rewarding.
