Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Homemaker and Caregiver to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in need of personal care, companionship, and household management. This vital role involves creating a safe, clean, and nurturing environment while delivering personalized care tailored to each individual's needs. The ideal candidate will be energetic, attentive, and committed to enhancing the quality of life for those they serve through attentive caregiving, household chores, and health monitoring. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in people's lives by providing respectful, professional, and empathetic care. Duties Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts when necessary Monitor residents' health by taking vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration; report any irregularities promptly Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and care plans; ensure proper food handling and hygiene standards are maintained Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, organizing living spaces, and maintaining a safe environment Observe and document residents' conditions and behaviors to ensure safety and well-being; communicate observations clearly to healthcare professionals or family members Administer medications following HIPAA guidelines and medication schedules under supervision or as directed by healthcare providers Support residents with mobility challenges or disabilities through assisted transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care (including Alzheimer's and memory care), and hospice support Hands-on experience with patient monitoring, medication administration, and care planning in home health or long-term care settings Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional training in HIPAA compliance is advantageous Experience with heavy lifting, resident transfers, or use of mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts is essential Strong understanding of home & community care practices along with social work principles to support holistic well-being Join us in providing compassionate care that truly makes a difference! Pay:
$18.75 - $20.00 per hour
