Job Description
Overview Join our dedicated team as a Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities and personal care. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate assistance, ensure safety, and promote independence for residents across various care settings. Whether working in assisted living communities, nursing homes, or home health environments, your dedication will help create a nurturing and respectful atmosphere for those in your care. This position offers an engaging opportunity to develop meaningful relationships while delivering essential services that enhance quality of life. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status or behavior Administer medications and follow care plans accurately in compliance with HIPAA regulations and safety protocols Support residents with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care, ensuring a safe environment Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary requirements and assist with meal consumption as needed Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and resident lifts to ensure safe patient transfers while practicing proper heavy lifting techniques Maintain detailed documentation of patient care activities, observations, and incident reports in accordance with healthcare standards Engage in cleaning duties to uphold hygiene standards within the care environment, including sanitation of common areas and personal spaces Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans that address each resident's unique needs Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and respectful atmosphere Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home & community care environments is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Experience assisting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or other special needs is advantageous Familiarity with dementia and Alzheimer's care practices along with memory care strategies Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Previous roles involving direct support or caregiving for seniors or individuals with disabilities will strengthen your application Ability to perform physical tasks including heavy lifting and patient transfers safely while adhering to safety protocols Join us if you're passionate about providing compassionate care that empowers individuals to live their best lives.
