Caregivers at Sedgebrook provide direct 1:1 support to residents within their apartment homes, allowing for meaningful relationships, unrushed care, and a hospitality-focused approach in an award-winning senior living community set on a beautiful campus. Position Summary We are seeking warm, compassionate, and hospitality-minded full-time Caregivers to support residents with daily activities while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life through individualized, one-on-one care . Hours & Scheduling Full-time Flexible scheduling Must provide at least 50 hours of availability per week Guaranteed minimum of 37.5 hours worked per week Preferred 12-Hour Shifts 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM Weekend Availability Requirement Every other weekend (Saturday & Sunday) with a minimum of 8 hours of availability each day, or One weekend day each week with a minimum of 8 hours of availability Key Responsibilities Provide 1:1 personal care including bathing, dressing, and assistance with activities of daily living. Offer companionship, emotional support, and engaging conversation. Escort residents to errands, shopping, and medical appointments. Encourage independence, involvement, and daily engagement. Assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and occasional pet care. Communicate resident status changes to supervisors. Accurately record time worked and services provided using a mobile app. Attend required trainings, meetings, and complete assigned courses on time. What We're Looking For High school diploma or GED. Minimum 5 years of caregiving or related experience. Dementia care experience (6+ months) preferred. Strong customer service and hospitality mindset. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English, and communicate effectively. Basic household skills (light cooking and housekeeping). Smartphone capability and proficiency for timekeeping and care documentation. Current CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 3 months). Dependable attendance and punctuality. Ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for most of the shift. Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. Adequate vision and hearing. Occasional exposure to cleaning chemicals, communicable diseases, and odors.
