This vital role offers an opportunity to provide dedicated assistance in various settings, including assisted living facilities, group homes, and private residences. As a Caregiver, you will promote independence, ensure safety, and foster a warm, caring environment for those in your care. Your energy and empathy will help create a positive impact on the well-being of your clients every day. Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support using tools like Hoyer lifts or resident's lifts. Monitor patient health by taking vital signs, observing changes in condition, and reporting findings to healthcare professionals or supervisors. Support medication administration and care plans in accordance with HIPAA regulations and facility protocols. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and organizing personal spaces. Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of isolation or dementia-related confusion, including Alzheimer's or memory care. Follow safety procedures during heavy lifting or patient transfers to prevent injury for both clients and caregivers. Skills Proven experience in home health, hospice care, assisted living, nursing home environments, or working with people with developmental disabilities or autism. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, dementia care strategies, and memory care best practices. Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, HIPAA compliance training, and skills in medication administration are highly valued. Ability to work effectively with diverse populations including seniors, individuals with disabilities or chronic conditions like Alzheimer's disease. Strong communication skills for collaborating with healthcare teams and documenting care accurately. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and long shifts; comfort working in fast-paced or demanding environments.
