In this vital role, you will provide personalized support to promote independence, safety, and well-being in home care environments. Your energy and attentiveness will help create a warm, respectful atmosphere that empowers residents to thrive. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to ensure comfort and dignity. Monitor patients' health by observing vital signs, reporting changes, and maintaining accurate care documentation while adhering to HIPAA privacy regulations. Medication Reminders Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary. Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts for safe patient transfers and assist with mobility to prevent falls or injuries. Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties, including laundry and sanitation of resident areas. Engage clients in social activities and provide companionship to enhance mental well-being and reduce feelings of isolation. Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents accurately in compliance with homecare standards. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs monitoring, and medication administration. Experience providing care for individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia is advantageous. Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality of patient information. Hands-on experience with caregiving tasks such as assisting with ADLs, meal preparation, light cleaning, and use of mobility aids like Hoyer lifts. Training or certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable to respond effectively in emergencies. Previous work involving home health or hospice care provides valuable insight into compassionate patient support across diverse settings.
