In Home Caregiver Columbus, IN 47201 From $16 an hour - Part-time From $16 an hour - Part-time Overview Join our compassionate team as an In Home Caregiver and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring personalized care and support. This vital role involves providing attentive, respectful, and comprehensive assistance to clients in their own homes, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. Whether assisting with daily activities or offering companionship, you will be a trusted partner in enhancing quality of life for those you serve. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record patients' vital signs and overall health status regularly Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Administer medications accurately following care plans and HIPAA regulations Support clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts or transfer belts, ensuring safety during movement Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior, reporting findings promptly Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment through regular cleaning and organization tasks Follow detailed care plans designed by healthcare professionals to meet each client's unique needs Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Collaborate with healthcare teams, social workers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care delivery Adhere strictly to all safety protocols including CPR, First Aid, and HIPAA compliance Qualifications Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly preferred Demonstrated knowledge of patient care techniques including assisting with ADLs and medication administration Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or hospice care are advantageous Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, dementia (including Alzheimer's), or memory care needs is desirable Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks required for patient transfers using equipment like Hoyer lifts or resident's transfers Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and reporting changes in condition accurately Excellent communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams Valid driver's license preferred for travel between client locations; must comply with all safety standards including HIPAA regulations Join us in providing compassionate home care that transforms lives!
