Full Job Description Qualifications Education:
High School diploma or HSC/GED equivalent Experience working with children ages 6-17 Experience working with children with behaviors a Plus. Able to pass a background check and fingerprints. Able to pass a drug screen. Duties
  • Light housekeeping cleaning such as mopping, sweeping, bedding, laundry, washing dishes, & grocery shopping.
  • Pass medications.
  • Light cooking and meal preparation such as breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snacks.
  • Model good mannerisms, encourage general life skills, & encourage proper hygiene.
  • Supervise children play.
  • Recreational activities with children such as play time at the park, board games, puzzles, sports, art activities, etc.
  • Administer medication as directed by medical professionals.
  • Ensure a clean and safe environment for the individuals in your care.
  • Communicate effectively with families and other providers during drop off and pick up.
Requirements:
  • Experience in caregiving or related field preferred
  • Knowledge of behavior management techniques and strategies
  • Familiarity with working in the mental health field a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with children.
  • Flexibility in schedule to accommodate.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Please note that this job description is not exhaustive and additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
