Job Description

Job Summary Join our compassionate team as a Personal Care Attendant, where your dedication and caring nature will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring support with daily activities. In this vital role, you will provide personalized assistance to residents in, group homes, or home care settings. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will help promote independence, dignity, and well-being for those you serve. This paid position offers an opportunity to grow your caregiving skills while making a positive impact in the community. We are looking for someone in the DuPont area of Fort Wayne Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Help with meal preparation and feeding to promote proper nutrition and hydration Provide companionship and social engagement to enhance residents' mental and emotional well-being Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and wheelchairs safely and effectively Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks in resident rooms and common areas Document care activities accurately using paper records as required Support residents with memory care needs related to Alzheimer's disease or dementia through specialized techniques and patience Respond promptly to emergencies or behavioral challenges with appropriate care strategies Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home & community care environments is highly desirable Ability to work with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities requiring personal support Excellent communication skills for engaging with residents, families, and team members Ability to documentation day to day task. Valid driver's license for transportation duties when required for home care or community outings First aid certification is mandatory; and can be provided Demonstrated caregiving skills with a compassionate approach that respects resident dignity Join us in creating a supportive environment where every individual receives respectful, personalized care. Pay:
$16.50 - $17.50 per hour
