This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those recovering from illness. The ideal candidate will bring energy, empathy, and a proactive approach to caregiving, ensuring safety, comfort, and independence for those they serve. This paid position emphasizes professionalism, attention to detail, and a genuine desire to improve quality of life through personalized care. Duties Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Support medication administration following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations for privacy compliance Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning, laundry, and organization tasks Use specialized equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs to assist with mobility and transfers safely Document care activities accurately, including patient observations, medication logs, and incident reports Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being Collaborate with healthcare professionals on care plans and report any concerns promptly Support patients during outings or community activities to foster social engagement Requirements Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly preferred Knowledge of first aid, CPR certification, and basic nursing skills such as vital signs monitoring and medication administration Familiarity with dementia care, Alzheimer's care, memory care, autism support, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when required Strong observational skills for patient monitoring and recognizing changes in condition Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with clients' families and healthcare teams Valid certifications in HIPAA compliance and patient safety standards are advantageous Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings or weekends as needed Compassionate attitude combined with a proactive approach to caregiving responsibilities Join us in delivering compassionate care that truly transforms lives!
