Personal Care Attendant (PCA) Etelcare - 4.1 Indianapolis, IN Job Details 1 day ago Qualifications Customer service English High school diploma or GED Driver's License Full Job Description Personal Care Attendant A Personal Care Attendant is responsible for assisting Etelcare clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, grooming, ambulation, and otherwise providing support to a client so that he or she may continue to live independently. A Personal Care Attendant may also provide companion and chore services with the goal of meeting a client's emotional and environmental needs. A Personal Care Attendant must demonstrate a commitment to customer service and a team mentality.
Experience and Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalency At least 18 years of age Reliable transportation, valid drivers license, and current automobile insurance Clean criminal history and driver's record
Competency/Skill Requirements:
Knowledge and understanding of attendant care and companion services Strong written and verbal communication skills, including being able to read, write and speak English Ability to meet physical demands of the position Excellent interpersonal skills Mature and responsible judgment needed to assist client in meeting his or her goals and ensure confidentiality at all times Ability to follow direction and accurately report to supervisor issues or changes in client's condition Ability to use assistive equipment, including Hoyer lift and wheelchairs
