Responsibilities Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Administer medication following care plans and ensure accurate documentation using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Support individuals with memory care needs such as Alzheimer's disease or dementia through personalized engagement and behavior management strategies Operate mobility equipment like Hoyer lifts or transfer devices safely to prevent injury during transfers Prepare nutritious meals in accordance with dietary restrictions and assist with feeding when necessary Monitor vital signs and observe health changes to report to healthcare professionals promptly Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and adhering to infection control protocols including HIPAA compliance Drive clients to appointments or activities when required, ensuring safe transportation practices Document care activities accurately, update care plans regularly, and participate in case management meetings to coordinate services effectively Respond swiftly to emergencies by applying first aid skills and following established protocols for hospice or medical crises Skills Proven experience in assisted living, nursing home environments, or home care settings with a strong understanding of medical terminology and patient care procedures Familiarity with working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism spectrum disorder, or dementia-related conditions such as Alzheimer's disease or general memory Best butcare Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts and assist with transfers while maintaining proper body mechanics Knowledge of medication administration protocols and vital signs monitoring to ensure patient safety Excellent conflict management skills coupled with compassionate caregiving techniques for behavior management and social work support Proficiency in EMR systems for documentation; understanding HIPAA regulations for patient privacy is essential Valid driver's license for transportation duties; experience in childcare or hospice care is a plus Strong communication skills for working effectively with clients, families, healthcare teams, and case managers Embark on a fulfilling career where your dedication directly enhances the quality of life for those you serve.
