Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health status, reporting findings accurately Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding as necessary Operate medical equipment such as Hoyer lifts or wheelchairs safely during transfers and mobility assistance Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks like cleaning and laundry Document care activities thoroughly in accordance with agency protocols and coordinate with healthcare professionals on patient progress Experience Prior experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or group homes is highly preferred Knowledge of caring for individuals with dementia, Alzheimer's disease, autism, or developmental disabilities is advantageous Hands-on experience with patient observation, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring required Familiarity with care plans development and execution ensures personalized support for each client Certification in CPR and First Aid is essential; additional training in hospice or memory care is a plus Experience working within HIPAA guidelines while managing sensitive patient information is necessary Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts or perform physical tasks required for resident transfers This role is perfect for compassionate caregivers eager to bring energy, dedication, and expertise into a rewarding environment.
