Personal Assistant Caregiver

Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Assistant Caregiver to provide exceptional support and care to individuals in need of assistance with daily activities. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patient health by checking vital signs and observing for any changes in condition Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans and HIPAA regulations Use assistive devices like Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Maintain cleanliness and hygiene in living spaces through regular cleaning and sanitation tasks Document patient observations, care provided, and any incidents in compliance with privacy standards Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental well-being and social engagement Qualifications Proven experience in home health, assisted living, nursing home, or group home settings preferred Knowledge of patient observation techniques, medication administration, and vital signs monitoring Certification in CPR and First Aid required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, Alzheimer's disease, or dementia preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts when necessary Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare teams Demonstrated understanding of patient care standards and safety protocols within long-term or home care environments Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful and dignified support Join us in creating a positive impact through dedicated caregiving!
