We are seeking energetic and compassionate Direct Care Professionals (DCPs) OR PCAs to join our dedicated team! In this vital role, you will provide personalized support and care to individuals with diverse needs, promoting independence, safety, and well-being. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a positive environment where residents feel valued, respected, and empowered. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your caregiving skills while making a genuine impact every day. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support medication administration following prescribed protocols and document accurately using Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems Provide specialized care for individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, utilizing memory care techniques and behavior management strategies Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids to promote safety during transfers Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist residents during meal times to foster independence Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning duties and adherence to infection control standards Engage residents in social activities and support their emotional well-being through compassionate interaction Drive residents when necessary for appointments or community outings, ensuring safe transportation practices Collaborate with team members, families, and healthcare professionals to develop and implement personalized care plans Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly preferred Knowledge of Alzheimer's care, dementia management, and behavior management techniques Certification or training in first aid is advantageous; willingness to obtain if not already certified Experience with medication administration and vital signs monitoring is desirable Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities in general Strong communication skills coupled with a caring attitude toward residents' needs Valid driver's license preferred for driving responsibilities; must adhere to safety standards at all times Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation purposes is a plus Demonstrated ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting or transferring residents safely
Required:
