ABOUT THE ROLE
This is a part-time PRN caregiving position in a private home supporting an adult woman with Down syndrome and Alzheimer's disease.
Coverage may include:
daytime shifts evening shifts overnight shifts weekends fill-in / as-needed coverage This is a calm, low-drama, structured environment. The ideal caregiver is emotionally steady, dependable, observant, and able to follow established routines without constant prompting. The environment is best suited for someone who: works well independently communicates clearly and promptly follows written instructions carefully values consistency and structure remains calm during repetitive questioning or dementia-related behaviors understands professional boundaries inside a private home notices changes and communicates concerns appropriately This role is NOT a good fit for someone who: needs constant supervision or reminders struggles with punctuality or follow-through prefers highly social or fast-paced environments becomes easily overwhelmed by repetition or routine caregiving tasks frequently changes availability or calls out Duties may include: companionship and supervision meal preparation and fluid prompting hygiene and toileting assistance light housekeeping related to care mobility/fall safety monitoring maintaining routines and calm structure daily documentation/log completion Applicants who carefully follow instructions and complete all required steps will be the only applicants considered for the position.
Pay:
$14.00 - $16.00 per hour
