March 16 We are seeking a warm, emotionally intelligent caregiver to support an engaging and strong-willed 83-year-old woman with mobility limitations and early cognitive decline. This is not just task-based care — this role requires patience, personality, and presence. About the Client Conversational, social, enjoys TV programs, hair/nail appointments Fall risk due to neuropathy and balance issues Independent with toileting but needs assistance with: Bathing & dressing Medication reminders (pre-filled pillbox) Meal prep (breakfast & lunch) Laundry & light housekeeping Grocery trips and appointments Mild onset Dementia Husband lives in home (independent, English not first language)

The Ideal Caregiver Is:

Calm and unflappable Patient with repetition and mood changes Social and conversational (not quiet or introverted) Observant and proactive (anticipates needs) Physically steady and confident assisting with walking Comfortable redirecting gently when needed Technologically savvy (comfortable iphone, ipad to assist client) Emotionally mature and not easily reactive Knows when to give client space This client responds best to someone kind, easygoing, and respectful — someone who can engage her without overpowering her.

Responsibilities:

Assist with showers (shower chair available) Help with dressing, grooming, opening bottles, cutting food Prepare simple breakfast and lunch Light housekeeping & daily laundry Accompany to appointments and grocery store Provide companionship and conversation Monitor safety and reduce fall risk

Requirements:

Previous experience with dementia or cognitive decline preferred Valid driver's license & clean driving record Able to assist safely with mobility support Professional references required Must be reliable and consistent We prioritize long-term caregiver-client matches and consistency of care.
