Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking compassionate and supportive Postpartum Doulas to provide support to families as they transition home with their new babies. Postpartum doulas provide evidenced based support while remaining compassionate and non judgmental at all times. Requirements The ideal candidate will have - MUST have completed a Postpartum Doula Certification Course. (Required) Completed a breastfeeding class Be able to pass a state and federal background screening Be committed to continued learning and staying up to date with current guidelines from trusted sources like the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) Have a current CPR certification and liability insurance coverage Previous childcare experience a plus but not required Vaccinated candidates a plus, but not required Responsibilities Assisting with general breastfeeding support - latch and positioning Bottle feeding the newborn Cleaning and sterilizing bottles, pacifiers, and breast pump parts Newborn care - soothing, swaddling, troubleshooting Newborn laundry, tidying the nursery, and organizing bottles and breast pump parts Providing practical care and advice to parents when appropriate Be willing to respect the wishes of the new parents at all times Benefits of working for an agency This is a contract 1099 position that allows you the flexibility to create your own schedule! The agency takes the responsibility of administration, marketing our doulas, handling contracts and scheduling with clients, and billing.
