Monday-Friday, flexible hours Bilingual Preferred About the Role Join our caring and diverse team as a Family Support Worker with Greater Fall River Healthy Families. You'll support first-time parents through home visits—promoting healthy births, preventing child abuse and neglect, strengthening parent-child relationships, and supporting early childhood development. By connecting families with resources, you'll help them build long-term stability and self-sufficiency. We provide flexible schedules, on-the-job training, and a supportive team environment so you can grow while making a real difference. What You'll Do Provide regular home visits and supportive services to parents, meeting them where they are—literally and emotionally. Build strong, respectful relationships with families, celebrating their unique cultures and strengths. Support parents in setting goals, accessing resources, and developing positive parenting skills. Assess family needs, connect them with healthcare, housing, childcare, education, and job training programs. Facilitate or participate in parent/child groups and community outreach events. Maintain detailed documentation and follow program policies. Stay current on training, participate in team meetings, and uphold Massachusetts child protection laws. Your Background & Strengths Associate's degree preferred (or equivalent experience/high school diploma). Experience supporting first-time parents or working with culturally diverse communities. Knowledge of infant and child development, parent-child attachment, and strength-based approaches. Strong communication, listening, and organizational skills. Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends for events. Valid driver's license and reliable, insured vehicle. Bilingual skills highly preferred.
