Safety Sitter / Patient Observer Sippican Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, Marion, MA 6AM - 1PM Flex Schedule FT /
PT Job Summary:
Sippican Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center, a leading provider of healthcare services in Marion, MA, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Safety Sitter/Patient Observer to join our team. As a vital member of our care team, you will provide direct observation and support to our patients, ensuring their safety and well-being while promoting a positive and inclusive environment.
Responsibilities:
Provide one-on-one continuous and direct observation and support to our residents ensuring their safety and well-being Monitor and report any changes in patient behavior, condition, or vital signs to nursing staff Assist patients with daily living activities Assist with non-clinical, ancillary tasks when not actively observing patients Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient observations and care activities Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families, and interdisciplinary care teams Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of patient care plans Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required Previous experience working with the elderly population preferred but not required Excellent communication, interpersonal, and observational skills Ability to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays
