In this vital role, you will provide personalized care to residents or clients during weekend shifts, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. This position offers an energizing opportunity to engage with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with developmental disabilities, in a supportive and rewarding environment. Your commitment will help foster independence and enhance quality of life for those in your care. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor patients' vital signs and observe for any changes in health or behavior, documenting findings accurately Administer medications following care plans and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts and other mobility aids safely to support patient transfers and prevent injury Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning patient areas and common spaces Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and engaging them in meaningful activities Requirements Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, group homes, or home & community care settings preferred Certification in First Aid and CPR is required; additional certifications such as HIPAA training are a plus Demonstrated ability to work with individuals with disabilities, autism, or developmental challenges Knowledge of medication administration, vital signs monitoring, and patient observation techniques Physical ability to perform heavy lifting and assist with resident transfers using Hoyer lifts or similar equipment Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and families while adhering to care plans Compassionate attitude with a passion for providing high-quality senior care, hospice care, or home health services This role is paid and offers a dynamic environment where your dedication directly impacts the well-being of those you serve.
