Since our founding in 1975, we've been deeply rooted in providing housing services to the most vulnerable and have expanded into providing permanent supportive housing, and person-centered home care in communities across Massachusetts. We are seeking reliable, compassionate Residential Support Specialists to join our dedicated residential group home team. This 30 hour per week position focuses on providing one-on-one support to adults living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. By assisting with everyday tasks and building meaningful connections, you will help residents learn skills to develop and/or maintain their independence. Afternoon into Evening Shifts in Newton, MA!

Responsibilities:
Engaging Interactions:
Forge meaningful connections with residents, staff, and family members through positive interactions.
Companionship:
Provide companionship and support to residents through recreational activities during daily visits.
Life Skills Coaching:
Utilize your experience or interest in caregiving to assist residents with activities of daily living skill building, including medication reminders, personal hygiene, meal preparation, and housekeeping.
Documentation:
Maintain accurate records of daily service logs and track progress towards residents' care plan goals.
Meal Preparation:
Prepare dinner for/with residents and adhere to dietary plans.
Communication:
Report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma Respectful and encouraging: You approach your work with patience, positivity, and professionalism.
Compassionate and caring:
Prior experience or a strong interest in caregiving for individuals living with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Dependability:
Demonstrate reliability and commitment to fulfilling job responsibilities consistently.
Certifications:
CPR and First Aid certifications preferred, or ability to obtain within the first 30 days of employment.
