  • Infusion (RN) to lead clinical operations and oversee high-quality infusion and home care services.
Position Summary BrightStar Care, a trusted leader in home health services, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Infusion RN with strong assessment experience and advanced IV therapy skills to provide high-quality in-home nursing care. This role focuses on infusion therapy, vascular access management, comprehensive patient assessments, and delivering safe, patient-centered care in the home setting. The ideal candidate is clinically confident, detail-oriented, and experienced in multiple IV infusion modalities, with strong assessment skills and a commitment to excellent patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and start-of-care evaluations in the home setting Administer and manage a wide range of infusion therapies, including: Peripheral IV therapy Central line care and maintenance PICC line insertion support, maintenance, and dressing changes (optional) Midline catheters Port-a-cath (implanted port) access, flushing, and de-accessing IV antibiotic therapy, hydration therapy, and specialty infusions Monitor patients for infusion-related reactions and complications, responding promptly to changes in condition Ensure safe handling, preparation, and administration of infusion medications Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments and clinical needs Provide patient and family education on infusion therapy, central line care, infection prevention, and medication management Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary care teams to coordinate care Ensure compliance with Joint Commission (JCAHO) standards and Massachusetts state regulations Support continuity of care through effective communication and follow-up Provide flexible clinical support as needed, including occasional evenings or weekends Qualifications & Requirements Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts Minimum 2-3 years of nursing experience (home health, infusion therapy, acute care, or related field) Strong hands-on experience with IV therapy and infusion nursing required Experience with PICC lines, central lines, midlines, and implanted ports required Strong experience in patient assessments and start-of-care evaluations required Proficiency in managing complex infusion therapies and vascular access devices Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills Excellent documentation, communication, and organizational abilities Ability to work independently in a home care environment Commitment to safe, compassionate, and patient-centered care Why Join BrightStar Care?
