Live-In Caregiver

Job Summary We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide personalized care and support to individuals in a small assisted living. The ideal candidate will have experience in patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and a strong understanding of various caregiving techniques. This role is essential in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. Responsibilities Provide assistance with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and document vital signs and changes in the patient's condition. Ensure adherence to service plans. Assist clients with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary. Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks. Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being. Support clients with memory care, including those with Alzheimer's or dementia. Observe and report any changes in the patient's health status to healthcare professionals or family members. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality. Collaborate with other healthcare providers to deliver comprehensive care. Qualifications Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings is highly desirable. First aid and CPR certification (no online courses accepted) is required. Experience working with individuals with memory challenges a plus. Strong skills in patient observation, monitoring, and documentation of care provided. Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the needs of the client. Familiarity with creating and following care plans tailored to individual needs. Excellent communication skills and a compassionate demeanor are essential for building trust with clients.
