Join our dedicated caregiving team as a CMT Caregiver, where your compassionate support and attentive care will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities and specialized health needs. This rewarding role offers an opportunity to provide personalized, around-the-clock care in a home environment, fostering independence and well-being for those with diverse care requirements. As a Caregiver, you will be an essential part of creating a safe, comfortable, and engaging atmosphere for residents or clients, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met with professionalism and kindness. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive assistance with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to track health status Administer medications accurately following prescribed care plans while adhering to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Assist with meal preparation and ensure proper nutrition tailored to individual dietary needs Support residents with dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and ensuring a safe environment Utilize equipment such as Hoyer lifts or resident lifts to safely transfer individuals with mobility challenges Conduct patient observation to identify changes in condition or behavior that may require medical attention or intervention Maintain cleanliness of the living space through regular cleaning duties to promote hygiene and comfort Follow detailed care plans designed by healthcare professionals to deliver consistent, quality care Engage in patient monitoring during shifts, providing updates on health status to healthcare teams or family members as needed Support residents' social engagement and emotional well-being through companionship and activity facilitation Qualifications Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or group home settings Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and care planning processes Certifications such as
CMT, CNA
Point 19 CPR First Aid, HIPAA compliance training preferred but not required; willingness to obtain necessary certifications upon hire Ability to lift heavy objects safely using equipment like Hoyer lifts; physical stamina for long shifts required Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a caregiving team or social work environment Compassionate attitude with a commitment to providing respectful, person-centered care in a live-in setting.
