Job Description

Overview Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medical Technician (CMT) caregiver, where your compassionate care and clinical expertise will make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring specialized support. In this vital role, you will provide comprehensive personal and medical care to patients across various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, and home care environments. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will ensure safe, respectful, and effective care tailored to each individual's unique needs. Responsibilities Deliver high-quality patient care by assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, mobility support, and feeding. Administer medications accurately following established protocols and document all medical activities in electronic health record (EHR) systems like Epic or Cerner. Monitor vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, respiration rate, and temperature; report any abnormalities promptly. Assist with specialized medical procedures such as tube feeding, catheter care, and other treatments requiring physiology and anatomy knowledge. Maintain detailed medical documentation adhering to HIPAA regulations to ensure confidentiality and compliance. Support patients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease through memory care techniques and compassionate engagement. Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care plans in various settings like hospitals or home & community care environments. Use electronic medical record (EMR) systems efficiently for accurate documentation of patient interactions and medical records. Observe patients' conditions closely during hospice or acute care situations to provide timely updates and support. Uphold safety standards by practicing infection control protocols and ensuring proper use of medical equipment. Experience Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or home care environments is highly desirable. Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and medication administration techniques. Experience with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is preferred for efficient documentation workflows. Background in caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or disabilities enhances your ability to deliver personalized support. Familiarity with dementia care strategies including Alzheimer's and memory care approaches is a strong asset. Proven ability to handle medical procedures such as tube feeding or catheter care confidently and safely.
