Resident Aide

Job description

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support and care to residents in a home care setting
• Assist residents with daily activities such as meal preparation, cleaning, and personal hygiene
• Housekeeping and Laundry services provided
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote a positive and safe environment
• Support residents in developing and maintaining social skills and relationships
• Document and report any changes in residents' behavior or health status
• Collaborate with other staff members to ensure the well-being of residents

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in direct support is preferred
• Ability to lift and assist residents with mobility/care needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Compassionate and patient demeanor
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check
