In-Person About the Role We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and attentive caregiver to provide one-on-one support for Erica, a medically complex individual. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact while building a consistent and supportive relationship. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, detail-oriented, and comfortable providing hands-on care in a home environment. ResponsibilitiesPersonal Care & Daily Living Support Assist with bathing routines (bed bath or shower depending on daily needs) Provide grooming and hygiene support, including oral care, hair care, skincare, and nail care Assist with dressing and personal appearance Apply moisturizer and support overall skin integrity Mobility & Positioning Safely assist with transfers using a manual Hoyer lift (training available if needed) Reposition regularly to prevent pressure injuries Ensure comfort and proper positioning while seated or lying down Support mobility during community outings and activities Nutrition & Feeding Support Prepare meals according to dietary requirements Provide full feeding assistance during mealtimes Monitor for safe swallowing and signs of discomfort or distress Household & Environmental Support Assist with light housekeeping, including laundry, tidying, and surface cleaning Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment Follow a strict peanut-free environment due to allergy concerns Health & Safety Monitoring Monitor for seizure activity and follow established care protocols Observe and report any physical, behavioral, or medical changes to the family Maintain awareness of Erica's comfort, safety, and wellbeing throughout the day Technology & Engagement Assist with communication devices, tablets, and assistive technology Support participation in preferred activities such as music, videos, books, and community engagement Social & Emotional Support Provide companionship, encouragement, and meaningful interaction Foster a calm, respectful, and supportive environment Documentation & Communication Document daily care activities as needed Communicate observations, concerns, and supply needs clearly and professionally About Erica Erica is a warm and engaging individual who benefits from attentive, consistent care. She has complex medical needs including cerebral palsy, vision impairment, and a seizure disorder. She thrives in a calm, structured environment and enjoys interactive activities with her caregiver. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of caregiving or personal support experience required Comfortable providing hands-on personal care and supporting medical needs Reliable, patient, compassionate, and attentive to detail Willingness to learn and follow individualized care routines Experience with communication devices or assistive technology preferred CPR Certification required First Aid Certification required Application Questions Are you comfortable completing a background check as part of the hiring process?
