Job Description
Job Overview Beacon Care LLC is seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Personal Support Specialists (PSS) to provide quality in-home care services to clients throughout Maine. The ideal candidate enjoys helping others, works well independently, and is committed to improving the daily lives of clients through supportive care and companionship.
- Duties
- Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Assist with personal hygiene and grooming
- Light housekeeping and laundry
- Meal preparation and assistance with feeding if needed
- Medication reminders
- Assist with mobility and transfers
- Accompany clients to appointments or community activities
- Maintain accurate documentation and communication with the care team
- Follow individualized care plans while ensuring client safety and dignity
- Requirements
- PSS certification preferred but not always required
- Compassionate, patient, and professional attitude
- Reliable transportation preferred
- Ability to work independently and responsibly
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to pass a background check
- Previous caregiving or healthcare experience is a plus
- Must be dependable and punctual
Pay:
$17.00- $21.
