Job Description
Overview We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Specialists to provide exceptional care and assistance to individuals in various care settings. This role involves supporting clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional well-being, ensuring a safe and respectful environment. The ideal candidate will have experience in home and community care, assisted living, or long-term care, with a strong commitment to patient-centered service. Prior training in first aid, CPR, and HIPAA compliance is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those with dementia, or other health needs. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Support patients with memory care needs, including Alzheimer's and dementia care strategies Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and manage heavy lifting requirements safely Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences Maintain cleanliness of the living environment through light cleaning duties Observe patient conditions closely, report any changes or concerns promptly. Follow all safety protocols including HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy and confidentiality Assist with transportation or outings as needed within the community setting Experience Prior experience working in assisted living, nursing homes, or home health environments preferred however we will train if you have no experience. Familiarity with HIPAA compliance ensures confidentiality and professional standards are maintained This role is vital for supporting individuals' independence while ensuring their safety and well-being.
