Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver - PRN (as needed) to join our team and provide exceptional support to residents in various care settings. This flexible role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals requiring assistance with daily activities, memory care, and overall well-being. As a Caregiver - PRN, you will deliver personalized care with enthusiasm, ensuring residents feel safe, comfortable, and valued. Your efforts will contribute to creating a warm, supportive environment that promotes dignity and independence for those in your care. Responsibilities Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting to promote comfort and independence Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature to ensure health stability Support residents with medication administration following prescribed protocols and safety procedures Provide companionship and engage residents in social activities to enhance mental stimulation and emotional well-being Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning resident areas and common spaces Use Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems accurately to document care provided, observations, and any changes in resident condition Operate mobility aids like Hoyer lifts safely when assisting residents with transfers or repositioning Support residents with specialized needs including dementia or Alzheimer's care, behavior management, and memory care strategies Assist with meal preparation ensuring dietary needs are met while encouraging proper nutrition habits Drive residents when necessary for appointments or outings in compliance with safety standards Qualifications Prior experience in assisted living, nursing homes, or home & community care settings is highly desirable Knowledge of caring for individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is preferred Certification or training in first aid and CPR is advantageous Familiarity with EMR systems, medication administration protocols, and vital signs monitoring is a plus Ability to work independently while demonstrating excellent communication skills and compassion for residents Experience operating mobility aids such as Hoyer lifts or similar equipment preferred Valid driver's license for driving Strong understanding of personal care practices including assisting with ADLs and maintaining resident dignity Join us as a Caregiver - PRN to bring your energy, empathy, and expertise into a rewarding environment where every day counts.
