Live-in, Part-time Job Summary We are seeking a dependable and compassionate live-in caregiver for an 85-year-old male who is largely independent. This role focuses primarily on household support, meal preparation, and light personal care , rather than intensive medical care. This is an ideal position for someone looking for low weekly hours with housing included , and the flexibility to maintain another job if desired. Responsibilities Prepare meals and assist with cooking Perform light housekeeping (laundry, cleaning, organization) Assist with bathing as needed Grocery shopping and occasional errands Provide companionship and general oversight Schedule Approximately 20-25 hours per week of active caregiving Flexible hours based on client needs Live-in arrangement allows for significant personal/free time Compensation & Benefits $1,800/month (paid through VA program) Private bedroom provided All utilities included Quiet, low-demand work environment Living Environment Home located on 30 acres of scenic land Ideal for someone who enjoys nature, privacy, and a slower pace of life Opportunities for outdoor activities like fishing and walking trails Qualifications Reliable and trustworthy Comfortable working independently Prior caregiving experience preferred (not required) Must be able to assist with light personal care (bathing) Valid driver's license preferred for errands
