Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Caregivers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals in assisted living. The ideal candidate will be committed to enhancing the well-being, safety, and independence of clients through personalized care. This role involves assisting with daily activities, monitoring health status, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for residents with diverse needs, including those with developmental disabilities, dementia, or recovering from illness. Prior experience in long-term care or home & community care is highly valued. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide patient observation and monitor vital signs to ensure safety and health status Administer medication following care plans and HIPAA regulations Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal consumption when necessary Support residents with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory care needs through specialized techniques and compassionate engagement Operate assistive devices such as Hoyer lifts and perform heavy lifting safely when required Maintain cleanliness of living spaces by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and sanitation Document patient care activities accurately in compliance with healthcare standards Follow prescribed care plans developed by healthcare professionals or social workers Respond promptly to emergencies or changes in patient condition using CPR or first aid skills when necessary Support social engagement activities to promote mental well-being and community involvement Qualifications Prior experience in senior care, home health, hospice, assisted living, or group home settings preferred Knowledge of patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and dementia or Alzheimer's care techniques Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable Strong communication skills and patience when working with diverse populations Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with transfers using Hoyer lifts or Understanding ADLs Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients' quality of life Flexibility to work various shifts as needed; previous experience in long-term or home & community care is advantageous This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those requiring personalized caregiving support.
