This vital role involves delivering personalized care that promotes independence, safety, and well-being. As an In Home Caregiver, you will be the trusted companion and caregiver, helping clients with daily activities, health monitoring, and emotional support. Your energetic approach will make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve, fostering a safe and nurturing environment. Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patients' vital signs and observe health status, reporting any changes to healthcare professionals promptly. Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with medication administration following prescribed care plans. Utilize proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices to ensure safe patient transfers and mobility. Maintain detailed documentation of care provided, patient observations, and adherence to HIPAA privacy regulations. Support clients with cognitive challenges such as dementia or Alzheimer's by implementing memory care strategies and engaging activities. Perform light housekeeping tasks like cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment to promote overall well-being. Skills Proven experience in home & community care, assisted living, or long-term care environments. Knowledge of patient observation techniques, vital signs measurement, and medication administration. Certifications in CPR and First Aid are highly desirable; experience with hospice or dementia care is a plus. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or other special needs. Strong communication skills for working with patients, families, and healthcare teams while maintaining HIPAA compliance. Physical stamina for heavy lifting and assisting with mobility; familiarity with equipment like Hoyer lifts is advantageous. Compassionate attitude combined with excellent caregiving skills to foster trust and comfort in clients' homes.
